what temp do I need to have aquarium to breed firebelly toads ?

I have chines firebelly toads.. 8 of them and have had them for about 2 years.. I see them on top of eachother and wonder if maybe my temp is not right for them to breed and lay eggs ?? Do I have to have aquarium at a certain temp ?? Help ??

Room temperatures are usually suitable for fire bellies. However, bumping up water temp can help females lay eggs. Try upping the temps to about 75-77F, but do not excede 80F.

You will need a second tank at the about the same temps to transfer the eggs to. Fire bellies, as I’m sure you know, will eat almost anything – including their own eggs and tadpoles.

Have you allowed them to hibernate? This is almost essential for fire belly breeding.

I’d defintaly suggest this site for you
