i am not sure if you are aware of this, but we have the same cane toad in south america.A good way of defending yourself against them is by sprinkling salt on there backs. the HATE it. its like trowing salt in your eyes..IT BURNS THEM and it can Kill them also

cane toads are quite a menace to people..they are heavily overpopulated in many areas and they are extremely poisonous to the touch.. i’m pretty sure pets can die almost instantly if they bite one.

Well when careless people bring plants and animals into a place they do not belong they become pests. This was the case with the cane toad. They were introduced in 1935 to eat the cane beatles in cane fields. However they prefered more open spaces and seldom went into the cane fields where the beatles were beyond their reach.
