The Cane Toads adapted beautifully to their new surroundings. The problem was, the beetle could fly and the Cane Toad couldn’t. What the Cane Toad is unusually proficent at, however, is making more Cane Toads - thousands upon thousands more.

i am not sure if you are aware of this, but we have the same cane toad in south america.A good way of defending yourself against them is by sprinkling salt on there backs. the HATE it. its like trowing salt in your eyes..IT BURNS THEM and it can Kill them also

cane toads are quite a menace to people..they are heavily overpopulated in many areas and they are extremely poisonous to the touch.. i’m pretty sure pets can die almost instantly if they bite one.
the mouse thing was pretty cool tho. a toad eating a mouse. poor mouse.

We watched this movie in my AP Environmental Science class, and when the toad ate the mouse everyone in the room was screaming their heads off. It was pretty much the highlight of the year.

Well when careless …
Well when careless people bring plants and animals into a place they do not belong they become pests. This was the case with the cane toad. They were introduced in 1935 to eat the cane beatles in cane fields. However they prefered more open spaces and seldom went into the cane fields where the beatles were beyond their reach.
