i didn’t fall in … i didn’t fall in love with this song because of this song–before cartoon network got taken over by corporate zombies [circa 2005] they used to have these neat little videos on their site. one of them was a girl pop group [keep in mind this WAS around '02] doing a cover of this song. the video was mindless and stupid but i really loved the song. i wish i could find that cover of it again, though!

These guys are GOOD … These guys are GOOD! They were successful – sold albums and had a loyal following. And the music is solid: tight harmonies surrounding the introspective and observant lyrics sung by a lead singer who is capable, charismatic, and – according to the ladies – quite cute.
These guys were considered “alternative” in the ’90s…they were not prancing pi-up boys singing throwaway bubblegum pop…this great band doesn’t have any “Rick Stardusts” in it!
