Where to place a Lucky Money Toad?

I have a Lucky Money Toad that I want to place properly, unfortunately there’s a whole lot of debate on where it should go. Some people say it needs to face the door of your house, others say that if it is too close to the door it symbolizes money LEAVING the house, which is not the desired effect.

Which is right?

I have an apartment with a small door way, and a sliding glass door almost diagonally across the apartment from it ( not including walls ).

Place the frog within view of your front or main door to invite money and luck in. Turn it backwards during the night, to prevent this newly earned money and luck from going away.
