We have searched the entire house for him. Any ideas of what we might be able to do to make him appear? I know this seems far-fetched but my 4 year old daughter is deparate to find "Spotty".

Check little nooks and crannies; behind plant pots, in the shoe closet, under beds and cabinets, and REALLY look in the bathrooms! If he is a toad he will be attracted to more moisture, which a good source of is usually in the bathroom.
You might want to place a little dish of his favourite food in some rooms, but remove it and replace it often unless it will go bad. I’m no toad expert but when my turtle disapeared I found him in our spare dog-crate!
