I got a kit thing for Christmas and im not sure what to get so can anyone name a beginner frog or toad that is:
-any size
- able to be handled
- does NOT need a filter (i can easily change the water myself though)
- lives part out of water and part in
- lives in groups of 2 or more (not necessary but appreciated!)
- does not need a large tank (smaller the better!)
Thank you!! =D

Fire bellied toads! Super hardy, no need to be handled, small, bubbly personalities, colorful, funny, social, very active, and also cheap… around 7 dollars at the most! Have fun with whatever you choose! =)

It really doesn’t matter. I had a toad for the longest time!!! It was an american toad. my friend got it for me from her woods. i like to go into my woods and watch/catch the toads. I let them go after I catch them though. Because 1 toad is enough for beginners. The point is any toad is….. pretty much any toad is okay….. just make sure it is not posnionus. I think it would be better if you just buy one though!!!!!! If you buy one just pick a favorite!!!! The only thing that really matters is if you take good care of it and give it a good home!!!!!!!!
