Is my american toad frog dying?

I just discovered my frog on its back with its head under the substrate. When I moved its head above ground it pee’d. So, is this the end? Or is it doing something else? By the way, I just gave it a small meal of crickets a few days ago. Sorry this is the first frog that we have ever had a frog. Thanks

HAHAHAHA that is funny. My american bullfrog does that all the time. I have had him now going on 4 years and he has done that about 3 dozen times in the past 2 years. My vet told me it was because he was getting ready to hybernate. He is a wild cought one so I kinda believed the vet. I dropped the temp amd moved the frog outdoors and presto 4 months later warmed him back up and he is fine.
