Do people eat toad or just frog?

I know that people eat frog but do the french also eat toad?

Hunter gatherers eat anything that’s edible, and that would include toads, grubs, etc. The French, being "gourmands", not hunter gatherers, limit themselves to frogs, largely farm-raised I believe.
