A Year With Frog and Toad

i know that frogs do it by the female laying the eggs and then the male fertilising them. ive got 2 fire bellied toads, and i see them humping all the time. now my female toad is pregnant, and i was wondering whats gonna happen when she gives birth. will it just be the same as the frogs way? do i have to do anything to allow them to lay there eggs?

Firebelly toads breed the same way as any other frogs or toads do. They are humping because they are just going through the motions. The female becomes fat with eggs, which the male will then have to fertilize externally. Make sure you keep the water clean of waste after they spawn.

The golden toad went extinct about 7 years ago in Costa Rica. Do have an answer to this question?

We have beat 3-4 and 3-5, hit the red switch and recieved the star from the yellow toad house, but the path the the world 3 castle will not open up. We have now beat 3-4 and 3-5 at least 5 times a piece with no luck. How do we unlock the castle?

The answer lies in 3-4. You must go through the pipe which brings you out to another competion flag to grab onto. I recommend going through the pipe AFTER you have hit the switch for the red blocks. In other words, the second time through this level.

I got a kit thing for Christmas and im not sure what to get so can anyone name a beginner frog or toad that is:
-any size
- able to be handled
- does NOT need a filter (i can easily change the water myself though)
- lives part out of water and part in
- lives in groups of 2 or more (not necessary but appreciated!)
- does not need a large tank (smaller the better!)

I got a dwarf frog some weeks ago. I have been feeding it bloodworms. But today its been laying on its back. When i touched it with the net to see if it was dead it moved and swam away upside-down. Its been doing this all day. Why is this?

I have a Lucky Money Toad that I want to place properly, unfortunately there’s a whole lot of debate on where it should go. Some people say it needs to face the door of your house, others say that if it is too close to the door it symbolizes money LEAVING the house, which is not the desired effect.

Which is right?

I have an apartment with a small door way, and a sliding glass door almost diagonally across the apartment from it ( not including walls ).

Place the frog within view of your front or main door to invite money and luck in. Turn it backwards during the night, to prevent this newly earned money and luck from going away.

I just saw a video of bull frogs swallowing whole BIG spiders and scorpions. I thought the spider’s fangs would ruin the frog’s whole day or kill him. I also thought that stinger on the scorpion would totally stop the bull frog from living? How can they do this?

The frog will also make sure that its prey is not moving, by holding it between the roof of the mouth and the tongue, before swallowing. While the prey is inside the mouth, the frog secrets a large amount of digestive enzymes onto its prey to help it go down its gut smoothly. After having been stunned, crushed and coated with digestive enzyme, a spider or scorpion would have no chance to sting or bite.

I was wondering what a good beginner frog or toad would be that could stay in a 10 gallon tank or less. Also some supplies i would need for it.

I live in Petaluma, California, and about a week ago, a frog seems to have moved into my rain-filed kiddie pool. Does anyone know what kind of frog this might be, how long he’ll be here, and if he ever plans on being quiet? Please do not write me anything about killing frogs, as I volunteer for the Humane Society and am also a vegetarian. Will he eventually leave when he can’t find a mate?

at the lake near my house there are some little black tadpoles, and i want to raise one to keep. what grows from those tadpoles? frogs or toads? and what species? thanx!

It would help to know where that lake is. Generally, though, little black tadpoles grow into toads.
