I know it sounds strange to ask but I have had my snake eat a thawed pinky ok but seems to be ignoring the little frog and toad I have had in the enclosure for about a week now. It did just shed it’s skin yesterday if that helps.
Kingsnakes have a very varied diet in the wild, including frogs and possibly toads. Going through the shedding process does often cause them to go off of eating for several days though. For a captive snake, you will be much better off sticking to rodents. I’d take the frog and toad out.
A meal every 7-10 days(maybe slightly more often for its first year) would be fine.
With feeding rodents, you will have a much better chance of keeping a healthy snake, and mice are always available.Frogs and toads often carry large amounts of parasites. Toads can be toxic. Some animals can eat them if they are from the same area, as they have adapted a resistance to the toxins over time, but other animals, especially ones from other areas, can be made sick, or even die, from eating toads.
Do speckled Kingsnakes eat frogs and toads?

kingsnakes will typically eat frogs and toads, but I would reccomend sticking to pinkies anyways, if you are catching frogs, be careful, they can have diseases or parasites they can pass to your snake, frozen/thawed mice are the way to go.

In the wild they do……they also eat other snakes (including rattlesnakes and copperheads), rodents, lizards, birds, and eggs.
In captivity a diet of mice is reccomended. I wouldn’t reccomend keeping the frog and toad in the same tank as the knigsnake…..even if the snake isn’t hungry, the snake will constrict them if they agitate/ and or spook it.
