What is the difference between the marsh frog and the now considered extinct in britain pool frog?

We have two frogs, not commons, in our pond one with a green stripe down the middle of its back and one without. Both are dark green, quite knobly, do not have black flashes behind their eyes and cream rather than yellow tummies. I think they are marsh frogs but cannot rule out the [extinct] pool frog. We live in Somerset on the edge of the levels.

Sounds exciting if they are pool frogs. Have you thought of contacting "someone who knows" – maybe the British Museum, who could make a positive identification? Or who might know a man who knows?
