You will kill the frog if you keep it inside over winter. Drain the pond and let the frog go wherever he wants to hibernate. He will be back next year.
References :
35'x55'x4' pond with dozens of frogs every year.

You have no need to "save" the Frog.Frogs only use water to escape from predators and mating, they don’t actually live in it. By placing a wild Frog into an Aquarium in your living room, you will in fact interfere with hibernation because of the temperature. I would suggest you leave the Frog alone to return to your pond in the spring...
References :
Frogs hibernate over the winter. I don't know if it will survive out of its natural element. It may also make the frog weak by not allowing nature to take its course.

You might want to allow the pond to winter over and the frog will probably lay eggs and give you tadpoles in the Spring. Less work for you and a little help for the environment as well. Frogs are becoming endangered due to pesticides and garden chemicals etc. Just a thought.
References :
you may kill your frog trying to winter it over inside, but if you really want to, you can buy crickets at local fish stores, just make sure to have a wire over the terrarium so the frog and bugs stay put. frogs burrow down into the earth to hibernate, so if you wait for colder weather, the frog will go underground and come back next spring.
References :
have a pond with frogs

Frogs would normally hibernate in the mud over the winter. Look it up on Google and area where you live for frogs natural wintering habits.(or something like that)
