A Year With Frog and Toad

My tadpoles have just turned into pacific tree frogs and i would like to know how long it takes for them to reach their full size

It takes about a year for them to mature and reproduce

Right now I have two dwarf african frogs in a 10 gallon tank. They have several places to hide and soft plants with a filter to keep the water clean. I would like to add a few more frogs and would like to know how many more I could have and still have them be safe and happy.

in total you can have 6 as they don’t grow too big

I have these 3 or 4 frogs by my window and they keep croaking all day and night. Is there anyway I can get rid of them soon as possible?

We just put in a modest 155 gallon pond, and we have 5 goldfish for now but I’d also like frogs. Any tips to attract them? Thanks!

Water and perimeter plants that provide cover and shelter will help.

Dense foliage seems to attract insects, which frogs eat.

Frogs, like most amphibians, are sensitive to water quality so keep your pond water clean.

Put screens over your pump intake to prevent eggs and tadpoles from being swept up.

Your fish may be a problem. Fish will eat eggs and tadpoles, so you may have a problem keeping a breeding population of frogs in your pond.

Well for tadpoles you can feed them spinach, lettuce,carrots, apple peels, you can also feed sucker fish saucers, or any planty food, but some may be toxic to the tadpole, also first boil the the lettuce, spinach, etc. But not the saucers. For the frog you can feed it, fruit fly buy it from the stores, do not capture them it can have dieseas that can harm or kill your frog.Feed it when the frog tail is totally inside. Also feed it meallworms, crickets small, meadium or large as it gets bigger.

I’m worred that the frogs wont get the food because the goldfish will eat it.

Hi– My mom’s large backyard pond has become inundated with frogs– it wouldn’t be bad except the season is longer this year and there are many more croakers! She does not want to kill them, but we want to relocate them to a nearby natural pond. Help! We added a few tadpoles to eat mosquitoes- and they multiplied beyond belief.

Invite a group of Boy Scouts over to catch and release. They’ll have a blast doing it.
