How do I identify an old book I have?

I have an old version of Mouse Soup by Arnold Lobel. It is very old and I can’t seem to find any on the net that match its cover art. I would think that it is a first edition since it is very old and the I CAN READ stamp does not exist across the top as it does in later editions. Does anyone know where I can search and possibly identify old books?

Try contacting The Manhattan Rare Book Company.
